Happy Monday!

I had a lot of plans and expectations of a productive week, but of course, life happens and it had a different plan for me 😅

My little one is home this week from school. We all know how that goes… 😂

So, I’ll take this time to…
-mourn my expectations for this week. RIP. 😭
-pivot and do the things that I can while my kid is home
-refocus and reframe: yes, I may not get to do as much as I needed, but how nice that I get to spend quality time 1:1 with my kid.

Every relationship has it’s seasons. I’m so happy to spend every season with this guy 😘 happy 9 years of marriage!

If I had to tell my younger self something about love and marriage…..

Drop all the checklists and expectations. Once you start expecting your partner to act a certain way or respond a certain way, you will just find disappointment.

Instead, try to be open and honest about what you are feeling and why. Chances are they will respond in their own loving and special way. ❤️
